Micro-Weddings + Elopement Dinners on Maui

A beautiful dinner for a very small wedding.

Whether it’s just the two of you or a table filled with your closest people, we’ll create a private chef experience worthy of the day, without turning your intimate wedding into a production.

Small Intentional Weddings

Some of the most meaningful weddings are also the smallest.
Maybe you’re exchanging vows on the beach and coming home for dinner afterward. Maybe you’ve rented a beautiful house and invited ten people you love. Maybe there isn’t a formal ceremony at all, just the two of you marking the day over an extraordinary meal.
You don’t need a ballroom, a catering crew, or a hundred-person guest list for dinner to feel like an occasion.
We bring the chef, the food, the flowers, the cake and the hospitality to you, creating an intimate wedding dinner that feels thoughtful, personal, and entirely your own.

Not ready to book? That’s completely fine. Tell us a little about your special occasion, and we’ll send our current Dining Guides with menus, service options, and pricing.

Your Wedding, Your Dinner

Beautiful island-inspired food, thoughtful hospitality, and a private chef experience created around the way you want to gather.

Fine Dining

Coursed, plated + beautifully considered.

For couples who want dinner to become one of the main experiences of the evening. Think individually plated courses, expanded service, thoughtful tablescape details, and plenty of time to sit back and take it all in.

Family-Style Dining

Abundant, relaxed + made for sharing.

For intimate weddings where everyone knows one another and you’d rather pass beautiful platters around the table than have a formal coursed meal. Still special. Still beautifully presented. Just a little more relaxed.

Somewhere in between? Perfect. Tell us how you want the evening to feel and we’ll help you choose.

YOUR WEDDING, YOUR DREAM

Bespoke Intimate Maui Weddings

A small wedding gives you the freedom to care deeply about the details that actually matter to you. We don’t think of an elopement or microwedding dinner as a smaller version of a large wedding reception.

The menu can be personal. The table can be beautiful. Dinner doesn’t have to run on a ballroom timeline. You can linger between courses, open another bottle, watch the sunset, tell stories, eat dessert barefoot, and spend the evening with the people you chose to have there.

And when you’re getting married on Maui, we think dinner should feel connected to this place, too. We build menus around seasonality, your preferences, and the many culinary influences that shape food in Hawaiʻi, prioritizing beautiful local ingredients and Maui farms and producers whenever availability allows.

We think of it as something entirely its own: thoughtful food, beautiful ingredients, your favorite people, and a dinner that belongs here.

Thoughtful food. Beautiful ingredients. A dinner that belongs here.

Eloping, Just the Two of You?

YES, WE COOK FOR TWO.

Some celebrations are meant to be small. Really small.

If your dream wedding day ends with just the two of you around a beautiful table, watching the sun go down and opening a bottle you’ve been saving for exactly this moment, we think that deserves every bit as much care as a table for twenty.

We’ll plan the menu, source beautiful ingredients, arrive with everything we need, cook your dinner, set the table, serve each course, and quietly take care of the kitchen when it’s all over.

Our foundational investment reflects that entire experience: the chef time, planning, sourcing, preparation, service, equipment, and care that go into creating your evening, rather than simply the number of chairs around the table.

Because intimate doesn’t mean less. It just means all of that attention gets poured into the two of you.

So if your entire wedding guest list consists of you, your favorite person, and a bottle of champagne, you’re very much our kind of party.

Your Wedding Dinner, Taken Care Of.

From the first menu conversation to your first meal after your vows, we'll put love and intention into your special day.
Before the Day

We’ll plan your menu around your tastes, dietary needs, celebration style, seasonality, and the space where we’ll be cooking.

In Your Kitchen

Our team arrives with the ingredients, specialty equipment, and everything needed to prepare your dinner onsite.

Around Your Table

We’ll set the table, plate or serve your meal, keep everything flowing, and give you space to actually enjoy the people sitting beside you.

When Dinner Is Over

We handle the dishes, surfaces, floors, and kitchen reset. We'll even prep you brunch for the next day if you'd like!

Private Wedding Dinner Investment

We believe it’s helpful to have a realistic sense of investment before you inquire.

Your wedding dinner follows our existing Private Chef pricing rather than traditional per-person wedding catering packages.

Final investment depends on your dining style, guest count, menu, location, tablescape, and service needs.

Because every booking includes the chef team, planning, shopping, onsite preparation, setup, service, and cleanup, smaller gatherings naturally have a higher per-person investment while larger families share those foundational service costs.

Reviews from Our Past Guests

“The team at Lotus Chefs came, styled the table/villa, and cooked us the most delicious brunch! From our first contact with Kyra, we could tell that Lotus Chefs was the perfect choice for us. She was warm, kind, clearly knowledgeable about cooking delicious meals, and loved brunch as much as we do! Kyra was absolutely amazing in helping us create the perfect brunch spread. The food itself was of course as delicious as it looks and sounds, and I can’t help but love that the team was made up of women, and the bakery and floral businesses that Kyra works with are also women owned! The day of, the team at Lotus Chefs made us feel like royalty, and they were all so kind and welcoming!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all. Fine Dining is beautiful for a coursed wedding dinner, but Family-Style Dining can be equally special for a relaxed gathering with your closest people. Tell us how you want the evening to feel and we’ll help you choose.

Fine Dining is plated and includes a complete tablescape with plateware, flatware, linens, custom menus, and a single-tier celebration cake. Upper tiers also include custom florals. Family-Style is more relaxed and communal, served on our platters and boards with cloth napkins, while using the plates, cups, and flatware available at your rental. Both are full-service experiences; it simply depends on how you want the evening to feel.

Absolutely. There is no universal guest minimum for our private chef experiences. Our foundational pricing reflects the work required to create the experience regardless of guest count, making an intimate dinner for two completely possible.

Absolutely. We love working with groups throughout their stay, whether that’s a welcome gathering, bridal brunch, bachelorette dinner, getting-ready bites, or several different experiences. Groups booking three or more service dates may qualify for preferred multi-day pricing and customized hospitality packages.

Traditional catering is generally designed to feed larger groups efficiently, with much of the food prepared off-site and delivered or finished at your event. A private chef experience is much more intimate. Our chefs prepare your meal in your kitchen, with menus designed specifically for your group, then stay to plate or serve each course, care for your table, and clean everything afterward. For micro-weddings and elopements, it means your dinner feels less like catered wedding food and more like having your own little restaurant for the evening, created entirely around you.

Yes. We regularly design menus around allergies, sensitivities, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, wellness preferences, and mixed dietary needs.

Most experiences take place in private homes and vacation rentals on Maui with a functional kitchen. If you’re celebrating somewhere else, tell us about the location when you inquire so we can determine what’s possible.

As soon as you have your date, you’re welcome to reach out. We’re happy to mark your celebration on our calendar early, especially for weddings, larger gatherings, and multi-day stays. Because we’re a small, hands-on team, we typically don’t formally confirm bookings more than 8–12 months in advance. As a general guide, larger events and multi-day bookings may be confirmed up to 12 months ahead, while single-day gatherings under 30 guests are typically confirmed around 6–9 months out. Keeping our booking window a little closer allows us to make sure the menus, pricing, sourcing, staffing, and experiences we’re offering are current when you officially reserve. So if you’re planning well ahead, please don’t wait to say hello. We’ll happily put you on our radar and reconnect when it’s time to make things official.

Yes. Lotus Chefs provides bridal services throughout Maui, including Wailea, Kihei, Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili, Paia, Haiku, Makawao, Pukalani, Kula, Kahului, and Wailuku. Travel fees and logistical requirements vary depending on service location.

Absolutely. Families and keiki are genuinely welcome at our tables. We can modify flavors and portions, serve younger guests first, offer familiar alternatives, and work with selective eaters and dietary needs.

No. Lotus Chefs focuses on your dining experience rather than wedding planning or coordination. We’ll coordinate the details necessary for dinner and work within the plans you’ve created for the rest of your day. We are happy to make referrals from our network of small, local, women-owned businesses.
